Another Bad Loss

Just when I write that the Flyers have to play better against their division, especially the Devils, they lay a goose egg against New Jersey. A 3-0 loss is never something to admire, but this one was particularly ugly. We just can't get the puck past Martin Brodeur. That's just the way it is. He is still an elite goalie and we can't figure him out.

Bottom line, the Flyers couldn't take advantage of power plays last night. And after the ugly first period, Biron settled down and played relatively well for the rest of the game, but he had no help.

So Philly is now 19-15-4, stuck at 42 points after that little 3-game winning streak. They're still last in the Atlantic and are now seven points back of the Devils. No other division games took place last night, but tonight 4 out of 5 teams are in action, including the Flyers who travel to Toronto. New Jersey visits Boston as well.

Hopefully the Flyguys will take it one game at a time here and steadily make their way up in the standings. The Maple Leafs are struggling and the Flyers just recently beat them, so it's a game that Philly should win and rebound from the Devils loss.
